In order to allow all pupils to develop their full potential it is school policy to;
- Provide the best possible physical environment in which to encourage the education process. This includes buildings, furniture, equipment and learning materials.
- Provide a broad and balanced curriculum within the context of the Northern Ireland Curriculum while taking account of individual needs. Regular and on-going review of the curriculum is undertaken to ensure its relevance to our pupils needs.
- Encourage home/school links as a support for both parents and pupils. This will be achieved by continued involvement of the home/school liaison teacher; supporting the Parent-Staff Association and encouraging parential participation in the Annual Review process.
- Provide structures of discipline and pastoral care which will enable pupils and staff to work and progress in a stable environment.
- Encourage staff development by offering opportunities for both school based and externally organised in-service courses.
- Offer opportunities to pupils to widen their horizons through sporting and cultural activities; participation in out-door pursuits; and to experience cultures other than their own.
